Everything worked fine yesterday on my trolling motor. I tested it yesterday for a just a couple of minutes in preperation for today. I got on the water today and the propeller does not respond to the foot-control. The shaft DOES rotate. Anyone aver have this problem or suggestions. The prop isn't bound up. I do hear a click as if the foot control is working. Please help. Thanks, James.

Does it have an on/off switch? Maybe the plug has a short in it,I would check the connection/plug before anything else.
What motor did ya end up getting?

Rob's old trolling motor that he gave me had the same problem. It was shorting out on the main motherboard type thing. He wiggled the wires around until they made contact again and stuffed some electrical tape down there to hold everything in place. It's been working fine for me for the last few years like this. Just open the base up and see if any wires are disconnected or if it regains life if you reposition them.
