anyone has fished w/ the matzuo m3000 spinnig reel? supposedly retails for 180-but were i dunno,but its on ebay for 35,so i'm seeing if its worth even the 35.its a big freshwater or light salt im guessing by the line capacity.
Catch Alot,Photograph a few,Release them all...

DO NOT PUT THE MATZUO NEAR SALTWATER!!!

I fell for the "it's worth $180 but only cost $35 on e-bay" story with a Matzuo M-4000.

It worked fine for a few months, and even though I hose everything off religiously, the reel went downhill fast.

Well, first the drag washers corroded, then the spindle corroded, then the spool began to disintegrate, then the handle fold-down locked up, and finally the bearings (not sealed) siezed up on me.

This is NOT a reel for saltwater use.
