#2644, "Feathered treble hooks"

I was wondering if anyone here has ever use a feather treble hook for spooks and/or crankbaits. For a crank do you think it would throw off its balance?

Lemme know what you think...

Do stickbaits (like Rogues) count? They're great on the sticks for jerking and can be good on cranks on a stop-n-go, provided the feathers aren't over done. On the Spooks, for me atleast, feathers=Stripers. A Super-Spook with white feathers is deadly on stripers and can increase your bites on Largemouth, especially if you add scent to the feathers. On all of these baits I only put feathers on the tail hook and then I only do it occasionally. Maybe I should do it more.
Tight lines,
Wade

I like em on my sammies. White w/ red or blue. Gives the sammy a different look and tends to help control the bait better on a fast walking pace. The feather creates a little drag which keeps it more stable when walking the dawg, giving the bait a slightly different, more fluid action. It looks really cool too. :o
