Hey guys,

I was just wondering if using braid at night is good, is it less visible during this time, also how important is line diameter at night. if it matters, let's assume the lake that we are talking about is clear and has 15 to 20 ft. of visibility.

Your input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

JUANCHO

I like fishing braid at night only, esp. when it's real dark & you can't see the line or even the tip of your rod. The "feel" you get with a braided line is unmatched. Mostly use it when fishing the breakwall at night for calicos but have used it while throwing big baits for LMB at night.

It's great at night especially for jig fishing. There's nothing better than getting slammed on a jig in total darkness. I have used it during the day in hydrilla mats. With all that grass they have a harder time seeing it and putting one and one together. In clear water I don't use it during the day and I don't like it around rocks either. I don't think that it matters at night as far as visability. One thing that could come into play is the fish picks it up it can feel the tension and low stretch quality of the line and I have had them drop it after feeling it.
