No - those are Rago Baits!

Mr Rago will be releasing 10 new baits (this is only 2 of them) at the Bass Jam '09. http://www.BassJam09.com for details!

The "new" rago baits look pretty much exactly like the old 3D style baits.

Which is good, since they were his best lures :)

I disagree. The best Rago bait ever made was the generic live trout softbait!

That's why I said 3D STYLE :)

Live trout soft bait was best bait ever made, regular 3Ds were darn good too, though.

P.S. - I owe you at least lunch Nico for our run in at that East Bay Lake a few years ago! :)

If Rago brings live trout softbaits, I'll be there.

And yeah, fishing's been real tough the last few years with no one to show me where the fish are :)

I'll make it if I can, and will say hi if I do. Good to hear that Rago is producing more soft baits.

Will the live trout soft baits be single or double joint? Can I get some in the money green color? Jerry knows which one.

I'm usually too lazy to go to tackle shows but I do like free food.

I had this one live trout softbait that Jerry sent me years ago. That one bait caught a 6, three 9's, two 10's and a 13 for me. That's a darn good lure. Nico caught a 13 on a live trout softbait as well.

The achilles heel of these baits was that the bill would get messed up by the heat of the plastic when the lure was poured. So the bills would break or fall out of the baits or whatever. That one lure I had must have been made just right because it lasted through all those fish.

The live trout softbait always worked well for me in very cold, clear water. In Dec/Jan it was just a money bait.

well geeze Rob, you should be sleeping with that bait...:+ just messin man...

what would you like to see different about the new live trout soft baits?
besides the bill issue.

maybe you just want to see him leave the bait as is since you had some good fish on the original.

how about some different rof's?

The baits were great, except for the bill. That was the only real problem. Other than that leave it alone.

Once that good one broke I sent it back to Jerry so he could take a look at it. It was nice and furry by then.

Jerry's got that bill thing all figured out. I doubt it will be a problem on the new stuff.

Although his baits haven't been as available for the past few years - he never stopped making them, tinkering with them and making them better!

Good News!

There will be at least 10 of the 9" Original Live Trout at the Show (with new "bill" process that is much stronger)

Also, there will be a dozen or so of the new 7" Original Live Trout at the Bass Jam as well.

Plus - There will be a half dozen or so of the new 7" Hard Bait Version (soft Tail) Live Trout at the Bass Jam.

Finally there will be the following -
- 3 sizes of Rago's new Rat 10 of each available
- The new smoothie 7" and 9" Baits.
- The Walking Live Trout Jointed Hard Bait Soft tail No Lip walking bait (It does not compete with the Punker it is a different style bait)
- There will be a few of the very limited edition Foiled Tools in 9" and 10" available

Rago's back and his stuff is better than ever!
