So the deal is that I after my last final on Tuesday, I will have 13 days of nothingness before I fly to Singapore for the summer, and I'd like to do some fishing.

Is there anyone who would be willing to let a college student tag along? I'm in Claremont, and I have a car. So I can do most saltwater stuff located in southern CA, or freshwater located within reason. I have some cheap gear that would suit for salt water or catfish, but it's a bit large for most other fresh water fishing...unless we're talking larger species or downrigger trolling.

The bottom line is that I'd love to get out and do something if someone's willing help out.

Guys on the fishing hotpage board have been saying the trout bite at Big Bear lake has been phenomenal. That would be one to check out. Driving up to Channel Islands or Santa Barbara to fish overnight for seabass out at Santa Rosa would be a great trip also. 13 days off, that rules :)
