#15732, " Santa Margarita Lake report"

Got on the water about 7am, launched from White Oak in the kickboat and rowed towards the dam area. Stopped along some rocky shore line and cranked 2 ten inchers....continued into the dam area and went over to a hot spot around a rock pile. Tried everything that worked so well two weeks ago (mostly dragging Hula grubs and creature baits) for nothing. Started drop shoting and caught a couple more 10 inchers and a really nice Trout on an Aarons Magic Robo. On the way back to white Oat cranked the same rocky shore line and got a solid 2.5lb'r. The lake didn't appear to have had much difference from the rain we recieved last week.
On a side note: I know there was a WON Bass team event at San Antonio, but I was amazed at how quiet it was today on the water. I was the only one on the water when I launched....Great day on the water!

That's why I like Margarita so much! Just got a new motor and a new trailer for my little boat. Can't wait to get it out but I'm having to work 7 days a week for the last 2 weeks. x(
