Today was one of the magic days where it all falls in to place. Nico and I took 1st at the McClure ABA with 25.97 and big fish at 13.76. She was on a bed and bit my #40 5in Big Hammer after a 2 hour game of cat and mouse.

She was an ancient bass with a huge mouth. It felt cool to just to see her and hold her. We had her figured at about 9lbs but stayed way off and she turned out to be much bigger. Made my year. It's been a long time since I've caught a real big one.

Thanks to our friends at Big Hammer, Okuma, and Shimano for the help with equipment that make catches like this possible :) Yeah we're the corndogs who take pictures during tournaments :P

Okuma C3 7'11" Heavy action. The C3 series is real nice. The fight lasted about 10 seconds :)
