What lb. test do you guys reccomend for throwing plastics, live bait, and irons around kelp lately? what's the water temp around Dana Point, and finally clarity levels? also any hot tips?
Thanks for letting me pick your brains!

I fish 8 foot rods 65 pound braid with 20 pound flouro topshot. 3\4 to 1oz war jig heads matched up to Big Hammer swimbaits. Toss them into the nasty and hold on.......

Look for current and cleaner water, if the kelp is laying down cast iron, hardbaits and swimbaits button your drag....... If you are fishing boiler rocks you can catch Bass in a foot of water, dont forget to keep the big motor running...... The new sledgehammer has been killing it in the shallows..... good luck!
