Got a text from Wes (II Kadoiy II) this morning. He's at Flaming Gorge trolling for big kokanee salmon and may have the 6lb line class record fish. The fish is right around 5 pounds and would beat the old record by about 5oz. Pretty cool :) Will find out more on the catch later.

That is a big koke for sure. It is unbelievable the size of the fish guys are catching out there this year. There are still several weeks of the season left for more huge kokes to be caught.

Wes says the fishing overall is pretty tough but the size is very good. I'm looking forward to seeing some pics of a 5 pound kokanee :)
