I'd sure like to go fishing in two weeks. But what if it rains? I have two boats and have gone through a lot of trouble to keep them dry. One lives in the garage, and the other one I just spent a bunch more money on to extend my sideyard cover to keep it completely dry. I guarantee that one of them will be dry on that day so I can use it. But what if it rains? I'm tired of wishing. I want to go fishing. I sent a letter to EBMUD this morning.
Their address is recreate@ebmud.com. Do you want to go fishing for the opener (or ever on a rainy day)? Send then an email!

I would like to fish the opener at San Pablo on Feb 19th. I understand that there are pre-opener inspections on Mon/Wed but I cannot go to those. I want to know what the policy is for rain. Will boats be allowed to launch if they are wet from rain?
EBPARKS has a wet weather protocol: http://www.ebparks.org/invasivemussels
Metropolitan Water District has a wet weather protocol: http://www.westernbass.com/forum/viewtopic.php?topic_view=threads&p=373644&t=54502&f=2
I would encourage EBMUD to create a wet-weather policy to allow boaters to fish on rainy days.

I'm getting really tired of sitting around and "taking it" with all of these ridiculous rules and closures. I own a lifetime fishing license for crying out loud. GRUR$&!($$$##@###
