That photo looks fake to me. The proportions of the fish are weird. The level of sharpness on the fish's head compared to the photo of the guy seem weird. The fish looks like a Florida fish, like a fish that came from a lake in Florida. St. James River or Stick Marsh 13 or some pond. It doesn't look like a Georgia fish.

I'm not a photo expert but have looked at approximately 4 billion photos of fish. You would think a real photo expert could look at this and get to the bottom of it pretty quick.

The contrast is funky for sure between the man and the fish. Besides if some relative found the pic that would take the bass fishing world headlines, why would he send it anonymous. Wouldn't you send it to a news reporter yourself so you can at least get your name in the print? FAKE!

What I have always found interesting is the weigh of the fish. We all know the tales of the scale, the fish was eatin, blah, blah. Near impossible to be sure it was even 22-4. Now here we are 81 years later and the record still stands. Who was it that came up with the number 22-4? How, or did anyone know this was the number that would be so hard to beat. Were talking 1932, crazy and mysterious

That's got to be a doctored photo for sure. The fish in that picture could swallow a volley ball.
