Nice... It seems like only a matter of time. The only part that might be weird is the size of the prop. Almost feels like you would need a clear prop to make it less conspicuous. I could see thinning the bait out as well to make it easier to hook the bass. It'll be fun to see what comes out.

Yes and Yes :-) It's gonna be real interesting to see how things evolve through winter and prespawn.

I keep thinking about ideas to land more fish on glidebaits and other rigid body baits that allow the bass to twist free easily. One idea that came to mind is using a very small rubberband to hold the hook against the bait, then rigging the hook on a 1 or 2" steel leader.

The idea would be to hook the fish with the rubberband providing some hooksetting power and keeping the hook close against the bait. But if you get a good fish on and the the fish twists against the bait, the rubberband could stretch or break to prevent the fish from getting leverage against the body of the lure.

Probably easier to think of than to actually make :) Just a thought.

You should probably try assist hooks... oh wait... nevermind.

I am on hook configuration number 7 for that one bait... 7th time is the charm.

Yeah it sucks. Maybe rub fish tranquilizer on the hooks?
