#7285, "Surface presentation?"

Will an MS Slammer or Armageddon worked on the surface be very effective when water temps are in the 50's? I know they will chase trout but will they come up and eat a surface presentation? What do you think?

Jared,

NorCal

I have had good sucess during the day but nothing big yet, well over 10. But they have there time and place. Dead sticking can be effective and test your patience at the same time. Put your time in and get a good map of the lake to plan your spots. Fish points and outsides of brush lines/ toolies. Parallel to the bank can be good in the right areas. Just think hard about it and put together a "plan" before you go out next time and you should get some blow ups.

Good luck!
