Hello all! My name is Shawn, and I'm new to northern California. I am a southern California native, and am moving up north in June to be with the love of my life. I brought my fishing gear up on this week's trip up.

I have a Dave Scadden Skykomish Sunrise pontoon setup and am looking to get out on the water. I am an avid bass fisherman, but have no idea where to fish up here. We live in Davis, and I'd like to not drive too far. (At least for now).

If anyone can help, or wants to go fishing, I'll be in the area the next couple days.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Shawn, welcome to North Cal. We actually have a Open tournament in a couple week not far from Davis. Stay tune to the forum on info about the Clear Lake Open.

Hi Shawn,

Welcome to the forum.
From Davis, Lake Berryessa comes to mind as a great place to chase bass. Not to far, has big fish. Clear Lake and the Delta are always options too if you don't mind a little more driving. Can't beat either of those places

Jeff mentioned the upcoming open tournament at Clear Lake, this forum should liven up in the next couple of weeks as it gets closer. :o

Post a report if you want to share.

Welcome Shawn check out the open on the 23rd and 24th of this month, this is usually an exciting tournament with big weights and lots of fish. Check out the pics from 2 years ago and you'll see what I mean.
