Hey guys! Here's my report.

First want to say congrats to Anthony and Jeff for finishing in the top 3. Good job fellas it was a bit tougher to catch fish than I was thinking it would be. I hadnt fished California waters in over a year and a half nor had been in the kickboat since 2014 TOC so it was great to be back. I was way to anxious to start fishing. I went right out of launch and didn't go far before starting to cast out into big trees where you think for sure would get a fish or two, in which I did not. Not sure if I was fishing to fast or they just weren't there. I threw into 3 of them before deciding to row to the 1st island just across they way. I got the big fish within the few casts after pulling out of a small little snag using a Dropshot. I didn't realize it was timber of some sort until I started losing rigs and or fish for the next 30 min or so. I finally realized I was small timber and or thick shrub type bushes. This is where I caught all of my fish just kicking around the island. I had to pull my bait slowly though these bushes to not get snagged and hook into fish. I continued to do this throughout the day to catch my fish. I cycled through Dropshot, shakey head and a Zappu to catch my fish.

It was good to see some old faces and some new ones. See you all at the delta.

I wanted to be there and should have been. Give me your new address, Taylor, and I will mail you my forty dollars plus another forty for the next tournament. We'll just cut out the middle man and all the time on the water in the hot sun prior to you collecting my entry fee. Glad you're back (except for you winning all the tournaments) and hope I can come watch you fish again sometime.
