couple new colors to check out. The idea on the white blackbelly one is that the fish get a silouhette at night, but you can see the bait better because of the white back.

Those all look really good. I'm gonna be needing a few in shad colors very soon. Hopefully that's the next color on your list Mike ;)

Its getting close to the time of year when the Slammer bite really turns on, for me anyway. I've thrown the XX around a little bit and my biased opinion is that its going to kill them, espcially at night :) You can slow wind the XX on top at a crawl and it has that sort of crippled wretched, EATME thing going on. Check out my gallery in July, I'm confident there will be some XX fish on there.

I've thrown the XX bait a lot this year and it has worked great. Mine floats a lot and is much louder than the regular slammer. It will probably be a better bait in certain night fishing conditions.

The White/Black belly one is called "Crescent Moon". It is a color I asked Mike to make because I was having alot of success throwing the White Slammer last year during the night, but wanted one with a little more profile for bass to key in on. The White back makes the bait much easier to see as you cast it at night being that white reflects more light than any other color. This was important because we ruined several darker Slammers by hitting the steep banks on Castaic and San Vicente by trying to cast them as close to the bank as possible, but sometimes over-shooting it due to a lack of visibility. The first plug in that color Mike sent me was a XX and it has already worked well for me at night, you can create a much wider pattern when swimming the XX. The XX can stay in the strike zone longer while still achieving constant motion.

The Black/Yellow one is called "Night Light", it was the original night tournament plug. Me and Bryan L stole the Lucky Craft Archer Bee idea for that one. Mike is awesome at putting together any color you can dream up.

BTW- the Friends of Castaic night tournament last week was won by the 2 guys using the "Crescent Moon" Slammer, should prove to be a great one this night season.

Thanks for the inside scoop CJ, I didn't know the whole story on those baits :) I caught a few on the black/yellow one last fall... we named it the bumblebee lol. That thing works pretty good though.
