I believe the most important thing we can do to save the cove is to join together and strive for a single common basic goal.

I have drafted up a basic goal, alternative plans, and reasons paper. I have included maps of each alternative plan.

I know some of you may not agree with the catch and release and/or artificial lures only part but (1) This is presented as a last resort and (2) I'm sure most of us would rather fish there under these conditions than not fish there at all.

I think the Children and Safety reasons are very good angles for us to play. Just because we've been fishing there for years might hold some water but it won't be enough. We need to prove that closure of the cove will be detrimental to a large part of the Santa Barbara population.

If you have a small child please include something about this in your letter.
