There is now a website for AB 2280, The Hatchery and Fish Planting Bill.

This site was created by an angler who wanted to get the word out about this bill.

On the site you can email a letter of support for the bill. The email goes to Assemblyman Dave Cogdill (author of the bill), Governor Arnold Swartzenegger, and your own Assembly Person. You can also print out copies of the letter to distribute to other anglers.

The site contains a forum to discuss concerns and questions about the bill as well as links to the bill itself,the invitation for support and other links.

AB 2280 passed the first Assembly Committee vote and is now on the way to the Appropriations Committee.

The bill is being supported by United Anglers of Southern California, United Anglers Marine Resource and Conservation Program and the California Travel Industry Association.
