It's about that time when the bluegill begin their spawn which
is ussually a good indication that post spawn is setting in.
That is when it's a good time to go fish another lake that is
still spawning. Give it about two weeks (New moon) and try it
again. The bass should be recovered from the spawn by then.
They should also be hungry and willing to bite. When the
revovery period of post spawn comes to an end my favorite part
of the season begins. Look for the fish to move shallow to
feed early and late in the day as weather heats up. It's time
to break out the jerk baits and topwater.  Good luck. See you
