I got to be the boat whore for a change! Fished out of Santa Barbara Sunday on my buddy Martins Stike 24 gradywhite cc "Hot Line"(what a boat!!)Anyways after picking up our other buddy Ray on the way up we got under way at about 12:45pm and were met with 15mph+ wind which that big grady ate up like nothing! We decided to stay close and ended up spending the whole afternoon/evening fishing off Leadbetter, and despite a very quick drift(2.2kts on the gps!)we wacked em pretty good with a very repectful grade of fish, a good percentage were 2-3lbs, although most were sandies, we fished till about 5:30ish (dark)when it got a little too cold out there(wuss :-) )and ended the evening with around 50 legals to about 31/2lbs, most of the fish were caught on 4in big hammers with heavy heads with the new "reef critter" being the hot color with clear/redflake and christmas tree getting nods as well...Larry
