I've been fishin grubs quite a bit and have yet to fool a corbina on one (Fooled tons of perch though hehe). I'm sure a ton of guys are going to state otherwise:). I know a lot of guys don't fish down this far but I was walking along Torrey Pines (SD) yesterday on my lunch break and spotted 10 corbina, the biggest being about 4.5lbs (IMO), I wasn't fishin, so I didn't have my glasses on but it seems like there's alot of life down here. As far as grubs go, I usually buy MOJO brand 1.5-2" grubs and fish them carolina style (1/2-1oz egg sinker----bead-----swivel------4lb leader-----grub) my favorite color is motoroil red with goldflakes, green motoroil works pretty good too(Kalins also makes some High quality grubs). Good tip on following the birds, I'm itching to catch a corbina (hell its been @ 3 weeks since I foul hooked my first of the year) and I know a nice size sandcrab will score me a fish (since all of the crabs I saw yesterday were about a 1/4" long)

But anyhow good job on the corbina..........
