Went out on my buddy's 18 Foot Whaler for albacore. The previous day, the Wild Wave out of SC wrecked em, boating 120 longfin. Launched from Pillar Point at 4:15 and ran 25 miles. Put in on some 62 degree water and picked up a fish here and there. Lost 1 fish on a double and nailed a triple. Cedar plugs worked well in AM, with feather fish coming in PM after the sun broke.

With eight in the box to 25lb, we headed back to Pescadero to hit up the rockfish. Picked up two lings to 15lb and some assorted bottom fish. Pulled the plug at 4PM. Long day on the water, but if you had seen the conditions! Miraculously flat, thought I was trout fishing or something.

Yeah. I went albie fishing a couple weeks ago, and it was pretty flat too--weird. Definitely NOT albacore weather.
