Im new to this. Well, has anybody gon surf fishin in IB by the river mouth. I heard theres a lot of nice halibut being caught there. I have been there a couple times and got lucky and caught one legal on a krocodile. Can Anybody give me some tips on how to fish here such as tackle, lures and best times to go.

you might be able to catch some descent fish there as the IB sloughs are habitat to all kinds of fry (juvenile fish). You should also be able to pump some ghost shimp if you want live bait. But even with the new cross border sewage tratment plant I still wouldn't trust the area for cleanliness. The tijauna river dumps directly into the ocean there. Let me know if you have any luck as I usualy fish the rocks in front of the Hotel Del Coronado and do really well for barred surf perch.
