Ahhhh.... we can catch fish again.
Just a reminder that rockfish season is open once again as of March 1st. Went on the Stardust in Santa Barbara for a 3/4 day on 3/3/07 headed for Rosa. Very snotty weather on the way out - Jason talked to another boat that was fishing with little wind at San Miguel so we headed out to the glory hole.
Long story short - lots of the bigger model reds and rockfish Miguel style. Pretty much limits for all. Squid caught everything and dines guaranteed you a mondo size chucklehead on every drop. Expected a very bumpy ride on the way home - but the NE wind had layed down. Smooth ride with an excellent cheeseburger and beer made for a fun trip home. Epic fat sacks of quality fish.
You can't ask for any better of a crew than the Stardust, and the fishing is on, so get out there now.....
