2042, Seahawk seabass

Check this count for today
31 anglers - 20 barracuda, 1 halibut over 40 pounds, and 25 white seabass. Sounds like the back side of Rosa is hitting! I've heard several other good private boater reports from back there as well. The squid is back there and so are the seabass.

Rob,

Are you coming down sometime in the end of June like last year? Maybe we can all hook up and take a trip on the Seahawk like you and Brian did last year. My trip (June 14th) was pretty good but you guys slammed 'em (not to mention the limit was 3 instead of 1 like when I went).

Pete

I believe that the Seahawk will be gone by the end of June. It's moving to LA Harbor.

Yep. If another boat isn't moved to SB we'd have to ride on the Cat Special out of Cisco's.

You know what I just realized??? That trip was a charter from my school for the marine biology class!!! Some girl got a BIG halibut. I heard it was closer to 50#. Lots of quality seabass too.

from Rick the new owner of the Seahawk.
I'm hoping to make it down to SB before they go for one last trip. Anyone else interested?

One last seahawk trip sounds great. I would go for sure and both brians would probably go also.

Rob,
Did you see on biteson that they now have the seahawk leaving on the 18th??? I talked to Paul and he says it's so. I'll call the landing and see if they'll be running overnights between the 15th and 18th so we can get in on the 3 fish limit. If so, I'll go ahead and reserve 4 spots.

Yeah give them a call and let me know. That is the weekend I will be down there. Leaving Friday night fishing Saturday would be ideal, Saturday night fishing Sunday would be ok but not great.
