i was just wondering if it was worth going to the fred hall show to get discounts on equipment, i.e. - rods, reels, tackle, etc. typically do the exhibitors even give discounted prices on these items?

That's the main reason to go to the show. The dealers get to show off their new products amd we consumers/fishermen get a shot at some of the best deals anywhere. I highly recommend going if you're a fishing/boating enthusiast.

Yes, it's worth going to check out the kewel stuff.
I did not find any smokin deals, except for the Seeker blank barrel at FL booth ($20 :o) and Turner's had their usual 3/0 & rod combo for $90.
I wish I could have taken my time but I had to get back to SanDawg. See ya at Del Mar! :D
