I was wondering what the best time, bait, and setup people use when fishing for corbina.

Best Time = Overcast mornings, but go whenever you can!
Best Bait = Softshell sandcrabs
Setup = they will hit on heavier line, but you will get a lot more on 4 to 8lb test on a carolina rig. Or try a hi/lo setup with a weight on the bottom. Use SMALL (size 6 to 10) hooks too and good luck!

Nice and simply said Todd. But I know some people have made the mistake of casting too far. Most of the fish will be in very shallow water. You might even see the fish hit your bait. Good luck.

As far as time is concerned, I like early morning dawn and late afternoon twilight. However, tides also play into this. If you can fish an incoming tide say 2 hours incoming and 1 outgoing during these periods I think you will do fine.

As far as bait, Sand Crabs are super but I must admit that my overall favorite is fresh mussel and I do mean fresh! I don't get too hung up on line weights as much as I do casting fresh baits at the times mentioned above.

Good Luck and Tight Lines!
