8427, The Big Bardies are Arriving!

Did some Perchin this morning in Oceanside. Caught the incoming tide around 10:00 a.m. Surf was high and really rough. After about an hour I was ready to call it quits with the grubs when I got slamed by a zilla that I measured at 13"

Decided to stick around for a bit and was rewarded with 4 more in the 10-12" range. Scooped up some sand crabs (scarce) and landed a few Yellowin Croakers and one Corbina at 13"

I'm having alot of luck recently on the outgoing tide. There are still nice Corbs cruizing the shallows on the outgoing but they are reluctant to take the grub.

I'm thinking about grubing for Perch and Carolina Rigging Mussel later this winter for Corbs.

All Perch were released and didn't have to do any oral surgery on them. None swallowed the #8 Mustag hook that I use.

Motoroil Red and Gold 1.5" Kalin and Mojo got the best results.

Tight Lines and Fear no Fish! :D
