Yutaka joined me on the Bassomatic and we fished out front on hard bottom in 45-55 feet. There was a slow pick on the bass but we did get into a flurry at 9 AM for about an hour and that's when most of our fish were caught. We used 4 and 5-inch Big Hammers in green, brown and orange combos on Hammerhead jigheads. The 14 legal bass we caught and released were all calicos except for 3 sand bass. They were 2 to 2 1/2 pounds, topped by a 4 pounder by Yutaka. The water was 59 to 60.1. The bite died after 10 AM and we headed in an hour after that.
