9669, late SB perch report 5/2

I forgot to post this report back on Friday. Fished the morning high tide for a couple hours at Hendry's beach. Cold as heck and the wind was blowing pretty good, but amazingly the waves were very small. Glad I had a fleece pullover and my neoprene socks!

Fish bit pretty good at first on the motoroil/red flake. Had five fish 8",9",10", and 13"....I measure mine in inches, not big enough to count in pounds ;-)

A couple interesting notes to pass on to my fellow anglers is that all my fish were holding up on rocks that were covered up by the high tide. I cast right onto the rock, let the wave carry the grub a little, and the fish hooked up almost immediately.

I also had a lot of success using the nose-hooking method and I'm impressed that all the fish ended up stuck right on the front of the mouth, no more difficult releases.

Tried the 3" swimbaits, got a couple hits that felt more like little fish pissed off than actually trying to bite the bait.

Taking Friday off of work and I'm gonna be down there again!
