Rob: I find two(or three), 5lb bags of Sugar are good for testing my scale's accuracy. I believe the Commerce Dept. keep's the bags a legal 5 lbs(plus a 'tad' for packaging). I just place them in a plastic grocery bag that has 'handles' to weigh them.
