Yeah, everyone mainly goes for the trout during the first 3 months & then all you have left are the bassers and castfisherman. the season ends early though; I think it's Oct. 1. That sucks because the fall bite has just started right then & it doesn't reopen for fishing until the 1st saturday of Feburary. By then the fish are well accostumed to the trout stocks because they start stocking in like November to raise larger trout for the members. I do have a 14 ft. boat, it's just the fact that I can't tow & drive it for another 4 years. In fact, there are actually somewhere around 20 bassboats on the lake from different guys, so not everybody fishes on a dock. I'd love a small kickboat or tube but the Palmdale water association won't allow any craft under 12 feet in length .I know some guys throw the big wood around the lake, but not many. Recently i tried a 4" castiac(the last stock is usually right before Memorial) and got a a nice hit by the dock I was fishing.
