Has anyone ever put up numbers of high teen fish like Mike Long? I know there are some guys who have been dialed in on trophies, but how many 18s has Lunker Bill caught? Just wondering, I know Crupi got that 21 and a 19 I think, Danny Kadota comes to mind for several huge fish, but Long has caught 15+ lb. fish all over the place for several years. How many lake records does he have?

I don't think he will. That is to difficult of a thing to predict. Many of the big bass anglers have beeen getting frustrated of the years of the idea of some inexperienced angle who gets lucky and have not really put in the time. Mike long can't fish all the lakes all the time, because thats my new job.

I hate to say this, but the world record bass will not be caught in USA. Lake Salto in mexico looks to be the holder of the record. A friend of my dads caught a 19 lb last thursday and saw one on the bed that was allot bigger than that, I got pics coming to show and to prove to you guys the catch. he caught in on a Carloina Power Lizard in 4 feet of water. The pressure on these lakes is minimal compared to the good lakes here in the US and the guides won't let you keep a tilapia. Just my opinion on the matter.
800, World Record Bass - don't forget Southern Africa!

C'mon Trey, post those pics of those El Salto giants - I'm itching to see them.

Also don't forget Southern Africa as a possible contender for the World Record Bass! See this article by Ant Williams about Bass in Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe: www.bigbass.0catch.com/id2c.htm

I have to admit, Mexico does seem like a likely location.
Maybe Salto, maybe another smaller lesser known lake, also full of tilapia and bass, caught by a local farmer on live bait... Then the local bait shop owner weighs it, photographs it and tells him it's a lake record, then he eats it. Everybody finds out about it 6 months later when some gringo bass fisherman walks in the bait shop, sees the photo and weight, and everybody goes ape @#$& cause it's 26 lbs.

lol
