In the last couple weeks I've been pleased to see some posts from west coast trophy brown trout guys. Back when I created the trophy fishing board, my goal was to include all types of trophy fishing, not just black bass. So it brings a smile to my face to see you guys here contributing. I have a couple friends who are die hard brown trout guys and I enjoy bouncing ideas around with them because there are definitely some parallels between trophy bass and trophy brown fishing.

At the same time, I am disappointed that the same old crap that brown trout guys have been fighting about online for years is spilling over on to my site. Being an obsessed fisherman, I've spent time on pretty much any and every west coast fishing forum in the past 11 years, and I've followed the brown trout "wars" on other sites in the past.

Let me assure you: if you are a serious brown trout fisherman who legitimately wants to share ideas, stories, fishing strategy, etc on this forum - you are wholeheartedly welcome here. Let me also assure those of you are here to take pot shots at other guys, stir trouble, or make meaningless posts with no value to anyone but you and your friends, you are not welcome here.

In other words, if I have to waste any more of my time considering whether to delete a post or kick someone off the site, the hammer is going to get dropped because I don't have time in my life to deal with it. Let's keep it positive, keep it interesting, and keep it about fishing.
