Sorry I took so long responding but as I said before I am moving and have been real busy.
I have had the boat for about a year, the boat is 1974 so I think the motor is probably the same, there is a problem with the device that locks the motor down when it is put in reverse but if you don't gun it backwards it does just fine.
The motor runs great 3 pulls and it is running everytime.
