For lakes such as Castaic will your lmb swimbaits and plugs work on the Stripers at Castaic?
What are the prefered plugs and swimbaits at Castaic?
Best colors?

Thanks guys

Considering Castaic is a deep canyon reservoir, I would stick to a Huddleston in ROF 12 and 16 and work the baits UPHILL off slowly degrading mainlake and secondary points.
However, considering the lake is extremely tough these days, I would stick to jigs and worms. If the water clarity clears up, perhaps a tailspin or a spoon may catch some active fish.

If there is a mudline created by wind/wake, working the deeper edge of the mudline with a Triple Trout may produce some nicer fish. If you want reaction bait fish, my hands down most productive baits is a LC Stacee 120 (only sold in Asia) or a Super Sledge 6 or 7 on 10# fluoro.

As for the striper question, the stripers are not as picky as the largemouth. If a largemouth will hit a certain lure or swimbait, most definitely a striper will hit it as well.
Good luck.
