Any geniuses out there who want to make money? Here's how...

Make a map chip like Navionics. Then make it so that when you load it in your fish finder you can enter the lake level for any given lake.

Then make the map adjust to that level. For good measure make it so that the user can program any given depth to show in a certain color.

For example, if Lake McClure is down 120', let the user program that in and show anything less than 10' deep in red (hazard) and anything less than 60' deep in yellow (possible places to fish).

For the Delta, make the map chip calculate and show depths dynamically based on the tide forecast.

Someone needs to invent this.

Or someway to add a topo map for a lake that is not offered on the chip. Base a few spots on GPS coordinates and plug in the map. We might as well dream big :-)

In google earth you can do image overlays. So, for example, you can take screenshots out of topozone.com and overlay them with map data. A great example is if you take a shot from topozone of Mildred Island and lay it over the Delta map ;) If they had that on a meter, that would be totally cool.

Another one I was thinking of this week was with those Fish-n-maps that offer GPS coordinates. Fish-n-map company should make it so if you buy one of the paper maps you can also go to their web site and download all of the coordinates as a file for a Lowrance or Humminbird. I was thinking of programming in some of the coords the other day but it's such a pain. A file would be cool.
