I all most didn't fish today.
Kind of slept in a bit.
Even after favorable conditions via the computer I had to kind of talk myself into going.

Started about 10:15.
When I got to the spot it look marginal. Tide was starting to push in but it was off color and semi weedy. I did something that I rarely do. I constuled my eriely accurate electronic "Magic 8 Ball" before I even made a cast.

Me: I'm I going to catch a halibut today?
Magic 8 Ball: No doubt! (Had a mini heart attack when it flased the no first and then the doubt)
Me: Am I going to get a legal?
Magic 8 Ball: Oh Yeah!

It was right.

Took me about an hour to get the skunk buster. After a couple of small taps.

It wasn't huge but it bit the 3 inch Big Hammer "Silver Phantom" on 1/4 oz. Chartruse Hammer Head, Pro-Cure Krill gel. Pulled pretty good but didn't feel like a flatty.
19 Inch class

About an hour later I get bit on the grind.
22.75. All hail the mighty all knowing "8 Ball"

That was it and I headed for the car. Along the way I come across some nice looking water. It was clear and green with minimal salad and had a nice little down hill flow. It just looked fishy.

First cast with the rip I get bit.
About a 9 inch BSP

About 10 minutes later I get bit hard and I'm bent. After about 5 seconds it's just gone, DOH! Broken hook. I had it long enough to feel some solid girth.

Switched back to the Hammer phantom and first cast wacked a short flatty and about 10 minutes later did another one.
