This is a timely time to add a boat board since I'm right in the middle of modifying a jon boat! Since my boat was VERY "used" I've spent more than a month getting the hull sound and ready to modify, I guess that's the problem with buying a boat for $350. I had to rebuild the transom area and there was some minor leaking around some rivits that I reseated(learning alot about aluminum boat repair) http://pagebiz.com/bds/aluminum/repair.html Some of the delay is how many hours I spend each week, after woorking 9-12 hours it's hard to work on the boat during the week(that is if I want to continue to be married ;-) ) I plan on starting to build the decks this weekend. I'll take pictures of my progress if anyone is interested!
I'm still keeping an eye out for a used trailer ($200-$300) and I'd like to put a 15HP outboard on it if someone has one for sale...working or not! Ken

Chek out Harbor Freight tools for boat trailers. I have two freinds that have used the trailers and they work great if you do not mind putting one together. The link below has a picture but the price listed is more than the ones I have seen in the stores. Two weeks ago I was in a store here in Sacramento and they had them for sale for $259.00.
I do not work for nor do I know the people that are selling the moters I am just passing on information. I am always looking for boats and motors eventully I will be buying one.

Thanks for the trailer link, the best I found so far was here: http://www.discount-trailers.com/fishing_boat_trailers.htm but the cheapest trailer was almost $500. Thanks again!! The motor will be a little further down the road...and a few more paychecks away. Lots of used 2 strokes out there, shouldn't be a problem. Ken
