Tell us more about the bait. Does it sink, does it float? Is it wood or composite? Something tells me this isn't the first lure your dad ever made :) Are these for sale, or is this a just for kicks type thing?
It is all out of wood. this one is a floating type. We do not have any plan to sell it yet. My dad is going to retire from his job at the end of this year. He is looking into making a few of this to sell when he retired. We are also working on a baby bass and a blue gill. I will post it as soon as we got it done.
That's cool. The bait looks good. I think your main difficulties will be getting it to swim right because it's a tall thin bait (probably will need weight in the belly) and the durability of the tail section. It depends how heavy it is. If it's heavy, it'll be more prone to bust off on a rock/dock. If it's light, it'll probably be ok. I was impressed by the cross hatch scale pattern on the back of the lure... most paint jobs don't do such fine scales, but then I saw the posts on NCBF that Jeremy 'Bassman' Anderson painted it, so that makes since - his paint jobs are sic.
Dont tell me those are eagle claw hooks.if they are put GAMAKATSU on them for a better hook up ratio..That looks like a striper killa bait..Go get em man..Plugs are too expensive these day you got to make your own just to get by.
