What ever you do don't buy the School Girl, they suck. Especially if you are targeting spots gorging themselves on shad. Don't throw them on Folsom, or McClure, or Melones they don't work...in fact if you have bought any send them to me and I will get rid of them for you. }(

i have a question on the school girl, i was wondering if anyone thinks how a big hammer will work as a trailer, i just bought a few and i bought some big hammers for trailers i bought 3" and 4" and was wondering if those might be the right size. thanks

man, that was my thought exactly. I bought a few of those sworming hornets, I just haven't gotten around to trying them. A 3" hammer should match up perfect on that thing.

The 4" Hammers don't work to well on the heads. I think it's because the body at the head of the bait is too wide and catches too much water and keeps the bait from working correctly. But the 3" should be perfect!

I've gotten laughed at using 3" and 4" Fish Traps on blades and buzzbaits instead of a skirt- I'm sure it's the same thing with the Hornet- }(
Dan, I just got a Yak, found out the spotties like the Hornet just fine, but I think you know that already- they crushed the 4" swimbait on a 1/2 oz. head, and they don't fall apart like a freshwater blade after two fish
