It would figure that just after I spend over $100 on a Boga Grip that I would find the "Berkley Big Game Lip Grip" for $30. Looks like it could be a pretty good knock off. I don't think it has a scale.

Go to http://www.eangler.com and type "lip grip" into the search box.

If anyone has been wanting a Boga Grip but didn't want to spend the money you may want to look into this thing.

Does anyone have one? Can you give us a product review?

Been wanting a Boga Grip for awhile now but haven't been able to bring myself to kick down the cabbage for one. The Berkley lip grip tool looks like a great knock-off but I want the added bonus of the scale.

Do you have the 15lb. or 30lb. model? How accurate is the scale? Do you think it is worth the duckets?

Would appreciate any and all feedback from you fist hand users!

Thanks!

I have the 15 lb. model. I haven't used it yet. I am going to order one of the Berkely Lip Grips for my brother-in-law for Christmas. After comparing the two I will decide to either keep the Boga or return it and get the Berkley. I'll post my opinion after I compare them.

Leapin', I've been using my 15lb. size Boga for about three years now with most of it's use in saltwater and all I can say is that it is still in perfect condition with the only maintenance being that I've rinsed it with freshwater after every use. These things are built to last. I also like the fact that you can get it I.G.F.A. certified. IMO all other grips I've seen out there don't seem worth getting. Tight lines.

Hey Shorepounder,

Got to admit you are telling me what I want to hear about this rather expensive but seemingly incredibly useful contraption!

The IGFA certifiable comment definately got my attention. Would you happen to know how to go about getting this done or do you just bring your scale(boga grip) to a IGFA certified location and compare the calibration of the hand held to theirs?

Thanks for the comments!

One product that I recommend avoiding is called "The Lipper" by Wheelhouse Products. I am very disatisfied with it.
