Okay, I thought I seen it all but this one tops it all. We think of fishing with the right rod and reel, along with the proper lines and perfect lures. Not to mention the time of day, the weather and when our wives are expecting us home. But you haven't seen nothing until you seen what the locals do out in Oklahoma.
I just saw a documentary on a fishing style called Okie Noodling. These SOB fish with their bare hands!! No lures, no hooks, no lines. A fisherman stands in neck-deep water, takes a deep breath and reaches beneath a rock or into an underwater cave. He hopes that a catfish will grab his hand with its mouth.

Have any of you fellow fishermen seen this show? Tell me you guys seen it! I didn't blink once throughout the whole show.
It's crazy man!!

I grew up doing this on the Brazos river in Texas. It was kind a cool. The catfish would make these U shaped tunnels in the banks of the river and use them to rest or whatever. We would walk along the bank feeling for the tunnels. Once you found both openings, you would put one hand in each, find the head, nudge him in the tail to get him to move forward, tickle his chin(believe it or not)whichs makes him open his mouth, the you thumb em. Just like lipping a bass. After a while it would rub your knuckles raw though. Fun stuff!!!
