#16320, "First tournament win!"

Waszup all! Don't want to sound arrogant or anything but today my partner and I won our local club tourney! Last time another guy and I placed just out of the money, in 5th. But today we took it by a pound or so. Our winning weight was 13.15, just short of 14 lbs. i ended up with 4 of our 5 final keepers. The fishing was slow for most of the day. There is a 13 boat max at this particular lake, and there were 10 out in the tourney today. In fact, a couple guys didn't show, including my original boater. But I paired up with 1 of the 2 tournament directors, both of whom fish the tourneys also. We were one of last boats out and were low on gas. But in the end it came out good! :) Even some of the real good dudes out there struck out; at the end my partner and I thought we might not even end up in the money! Here it goes;

1st place winnings= $240/2=$120
and I got the big fish, 4.25 on the Beaver (my 2nd fish o' the day :-) = $90
So... 120+90= $210! Yeaaahh!:7
Tight lines and good fishing!

Bass + Fisherman= BAASS ADDICTT!!!

Thanks guys! I was in the clouds that day :-) But it looks like the bigger fish aren't where I've been shore fishing the last week. Went out to the spot I caught the 4.25 on 2 days later and worked hard for only 1 half-hearted bite... and then missed it x( But I guess once I get my boat out during the weekend I'll find'em. Thanks and tight lines!

Wazup Shane! I fished with Tom (don't know his last name) the 1st time, the older guy with the old blue bass boat. I didn't fish the last team tournament though, just the 1st draw tournament in May. School finals kept from the last one x( This time I ended up with Scott. You know, that dude Ricky was there. We thought that he might have us beat, it sounded like Ricky was pulling up some big ones way back in the tullies...but I guess he didn't.

Ricky won one last year with that pattern. I used to get some big fish like that at the club but not anymore. Me and Rob have ABA tonight. I hope we get things going early.
