Well the guy that is making them is supposedly the one that designed the original sliders. They look the same to me. The only thing is that the guy is only offering them in the 5†size.

I havent tried or looked at the new ones.
But I have fished the older ones and honestly I don't think they are all that.
I feel the tail action on them is seriously lacking. I have had a little luck using them as a bed bait, but I prefer the Matt Lures baby bass or bluegill for that.
I do like the fact that they have that pouch where the hook goes and you can squirt some scent in there. I also like how you can swap out bodies when one gets trashed. I wish there was a way to swap out bodies without retying.
I noticed the prices on the "new" baits has gone up, personally I would save the money and buy a different bait.

One of my buddies has a couple of the new ones. They're OK. Back half of the bait is a little thick so you have to either fish it kinda fast or shave some plastic down to get any kind of action. I really like the new colors.
I don't think the old Sliders are very good either dude. But that's kinda the beauty in them. So many solid fish get caught on them because people are much more willing to throw a half decent 3 or 4 dollar bait into the gnarly stuff rather than throwing a truly awesome bait that costs 35 or 40 bucks into the junk and possibly losing it.
