#592, "December 3, 2000 Shadow Cliffs"

Went to Shadow Cliffs by myself today. Fished the back ponds in my tube. It was foggy and pretty darn cold in the morning. I flipped jigs most of the day and it was slow. Caught one 2.5 on a black/red jig. I flipped in tree and the line didn't sink. Thinking I was on a branch I pulled back and there was the fish. It just swam right towards me very lethargic.
Tried the main pond for an hour or so. Had one bite on a swimbait but that was it. Saw some birds pushing bait around in the middle of the lake and a few trout being caught but nothing too exciting.
Went home to thaw out around 2pm.

Oh, the one bite I had on the main pond was on a 5.5 inch fish trap not on the slammer. It was in front of the marina, although I didn't see any fish this time cruising around there.
