Fishing has been slow for the Halibuts in Belmont Shore. There are a few of them out there, you just have to find them. Most of the fish caught were around the 30" range. Everyone thinks it's been slow because the City is doing a yearly sand moving project and is making the waters very muddy. The biggest Halibut was caught by Larry Lazan with a nice fat 32"er which weighed 11lbs-1 1/2ozs. caught with a live Sardine. John Brown caught a nice 30"er from using live smelt and Jess caught a 30"er using Ghost Shrimp.
