For Mississippi, I wonder if the Slammer should be one of your first choices. The small private lakes I fish around Dallas are fairly stained, and I have more confidence in the paddle tail swimbaits like the Osprey Talon and 3:16 Mission Fish on the basis that the paddle noise attracts bass. I am under the impression that the Slammer is more of a clear water bait. I own a Slammer and admire it but have not fished it much due to my confidence in the paddle tail baits. The lakes I fish very often are stocked with red-each sunfish, so I am anxious to try out the Mattlures Bluegill. The fact that it has the paddle tail and the chartreuse highlight (in the red-ear color) make it sound very attractive here. Just wish I could fish more to be able to more properly comment.

I've got a 7" Slammer you just ought to hear Wakin in the Darkness. It's a LITTLE thicker than some of my other SLAMMERS?
