#9787, "Who's epoxied their Triple Trout?"
|
After the last one chipped up super quick I'm looking at epoxying my new slow sinker.
Any problems/advice?
It already sinks miserably slow even with heavy split rings and big 2X owners, so I'm thinking the little added weight will be good if anything.
Just lookin for a little input before i do something bad :7

cool, just wanted to see if for some reason it effected the swim. i have aristocrat and a couple others. it seems like aristocrat is softer than some other types and gets jacked up easier. have you noticed that?
thanks

Thanks Mike. I'm doing it just for the durability factor though. It would be nice if it got down a little quicker, but its not worth drillin holes into it. Will definitely keep that in mind for later though, thanks!

Its weird, I have always used the little syringes from the hobby store, so the mix should be pretty dang exact. It just seems like it is just a little more pliable than some of the others. I mix mine in the bottom of a beer or soda can ( the concave "dish" on the outside) with a piece of tie wire. It seems to mix real well with very few bubbles. Also, if you need a little extra work time, mix it on the bottom of a full can out of the fridge. Keeping cooler will extend your work time!
As a bonus, you can have a fairly cold beer afterward ;)
